Beryl Li is one of the co-founders of Yield Guild Games (YGG), the world’s first Guild Protocol and pioneering publisher of Web3 games that are defining the Casual Degen genre, starting with its own title, LOL Land. Through YGG, she has led numerous community, technology, and educational initiatives, including Future of Work, which creates decentralized, alternative earning opportunities at the intersection of Web3 and other new technologies such as AI and DePIN.

Her work with YGG and her commitment to financial empowerment in emerging economies have earned her international distinction. She was recognized by JP Morgan Bank as one of the leaders behind the Top 100 Women-Powered Businesses in the Asia Pacific and featured in Tatler Asia’s Generation T List of 2022. She is also part of the World Economic Forum’s inaugural cohort of Technology Pioneers and Unicorns.

Beryl brings deep experience in finance and fintech, starting her career in venture capital in Shanghai. She has worked with institutions including the Philippines’ Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), BlackRock London, and UnionBank of the Philippines. She co-founded CapchainX, a tokenization platform acquired by SMKG, and was a founding member of Coins.ph, a leading crypto exchange in the Philippines that was acquired by Gojek.

An advocate for Web3 and AI as tools to democratize finance and education globally, Beryl has spoken at major conferences and mentored young entrepreneurs across Southeast Asia. She believes technology can close the gap between developing and advanced economies, creating a more equitable global playing field.

Beryl holds a Master of Finance from Cambridge University, where she served as President of the Cambridge University Cryptocurrency Society in her final year.
