The memorandum of understanding between FinTech Australia and Taiwan’s Institute for Information Industry has been signed at FinTech Taipei 2019 and will see both organisations leverage shared knowledge to capitalize on the developing space.

Taiwan has a rich history of technological innovation and Australia is on the forefront of Fintech regulation so this partnership makes a lot of sense, Nathan said.

Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen opened the Taipei FinTech conference by highlighting the country’s $AU 556 millon investment in FinTech last year and the expectation for that to grow.

The signing of this MoU is a great step forward in partnership of the Australian Fintech community and could not come at a better time for Australian Fintech companies, Nathan concluded.
