In crypto since 2017, Leah has collaborated with Games4Change APAC, the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), Blockchain Australia, Women in Blockchain, Women’s World Banking, and others, to drive blockchain gaming adoption and impact globally.
Leah takes an active role in guiding public discourse around web3, having led content and programming for world-class events including the Metaverse and Gaming Stage at Consensus 2023, the YGG Play Summit, YGG Web3 Games Summit, and Philippine Web3 Festival.
Via her regular opinion column, Leah authored the first-ever CoinDesk article about Axie Infinity in August 2020 when the game still had less than 500 daily active users. She was also the writer/narrator of the award-winning short film, “Play-to-Earn: NFT Gaming in the Philippines” (May 2021), and the upcoming 5-part video series, “Metaverse Filipino Worker” (November 2024).
With a special interest in evolving regulatory landscapes, Leah was an advisor to the inaugural V20 Summit and led communications for the interVASP joint working group, which created the world’s first technical standard to help crypto exchanges adhere to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) travel rule.
Additionally, Emfarsis partners annually with the Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA) to produce its annual Member Survey and Report. In 2023, Leah was elected as a Board Member of the BGA.
Leah holds a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Writing and Cultural Studies and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), both from the University of Technology Sydney.
Leah is the Director of Emfarsis, a web3 advisory firm with special expertise in strategic communications that invests in early-stage projects. The Emfarsis investment portfolio includes web3 game-changers such as Yield Guild Games (YGG), My Pet Hooligan by AMGI Studios, Mon Protocol and Studios, Confiction Labs, BreederDAO, AcadArena, and more.
